Propel Technical is class DNV-approved company in Australia will carry out the hatch sealing test onboard the vessel

Weather tightness checking of the hatch covers is an essential aspect to ensure the seaworthiness of the vessel and cargo.
The conventional method of hose testing has many disadvantages, and, on some occasions, it is impossible to carry out due to the type of cargo being carried or terminal restrictions.
Class DNV - approved company in Australia will carry out the hatch sealing test onboard the vessel.
Our marine and technical Superintendents are trained by makers for the procedure to be followed.
Procedure

- OHV less than 10% is considered as acceptable and in case the value is more details inspection will be carried out in the affected space.
Benefits of using Ultrasonic testing
- On destructive method which gives direct indicates compression status of sealing system.
- Fast and accurate method significantly reduces time to identify leakages.
- No pollution risk.
- Can be used on empty holds or loaded holds.
