About the role:
Due to sustained growth and continued success, Propel Marine is seeking experienced Marine Engineers with Class I Certificate of Competency to join our successful team and play a vital role in our expansion.
You will be actively involved in field activities and participating within a team of experienced professionals.

- Class I Marine Engineer COC.
- Minimum 1 year sailing experience in the rank of Chief Engineer
- Experience in Marine Surveying preferred.
- Experience in Class Surveys preferred.
- Conversant with local rules, regulations and terminal operations.
- Australian Citizen / Australia Resident / Australian Work Visa Holder or Valid AMSA Skill assessment for migration purposes.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Be able to pass Medical/ Drug and alcohol test.
Job Activities:
Marine surveys including but not limited to the following:
- Vessel vetting’s.
- Technical repairs and consultancy.
- Hold inspections.
- Attendance during Vessel Repairs / trouble shooting.
- Draft surveys.
- Cargo Trimming.
- Tanker quantity surveys and sampling.
- On hire / Off hire bunker and condition surveys.
- Flag State Inspections.
- Quality surveys.
- Container damage surveys.
- Cargo sampling.
