About the role:
Due to sustained growth and continued success, Propel Marine is seeking experienced Marine Engineers with Class I Certificate of Competency to join our successful team and play a vital role in our expansion.
The role involves varied and challenging field activities and requires frequent domestic and occasional international travel .
Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year sailing experience in the rank of Chief Engineer
Location:
Qinzhou, Fangchenggang or Beihai
About you:
The right candidate is a career orientated team player with strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Class I Marine Engineer COC
- Minimum 1 year sailing experience in the rank of Chief Engineer
- Experience in Marine Surveys / Class Surveys advantageous
- Sound knowledge of local rules, regulations and terminal operations.
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
- Good English
Job Activities:
Marine solutions and surveys including but not limited to the following:
- Vessel vetting
- Technical repairs and consultancy
- Hold inspections
- Attendance during Vessel Repairs / trouble shooting
- Draft surveys
- Cargo Trimming
- Tanker quantity surveys and sampling
- On hire / Off hire bunker and condition surveys
- Flag State Inspections
- Quality surveys
- Container damage surveys
- Cargo sampling
